Good racing. The new cars worked much better than expected. I LIKE the lines of the new cars. But, I'm weird. I was VERY disappointed by Sato's claim that Dario moved down on him and wrecked him.
I was waiting for someone to comment on that! I was a big-time Michael A fanboy during his racing career, and while he could be a bit of a whiner at times,I never heard him go off like Marco did Sunday.
Or back in the heyday averaging 242 mph? They must have been over 250 down the straights, all that while 600k people were there watching.....AHHH...the good ole days!
I've never met anyone who has gone to the race and not enjoyed it. Watching those cars at mid-ohio is pretty sweet too. different but cool.
I'll bet Barber would be a good race also. I think they should race at Indy's race course too. I just think Indy should use their track more......WSBK?

Damn good question - I'd say equal or maybe a touch wider but has a lot more tight turns and no real straights like the Mid-O back stretch.
Ed Carpenter? Seeing Wheldon's car making a lap this year while Taps was playing was very emotional, I'll bet half the crowd had tears in their eyes. You're right about pre-race build up, especially in person. If that doesn't give you goosebumps you're dead! That's why I always sit in the grandstand paddock across from the pits, plus it's in the shade:up:
Buddy Rice, not Carpenter. I will admit to shedding a tear while the soldiers and stealth bomber did their thing. Made me think of my cousin overseas. Then I got hammered on Fuzzy's. Buy some, very high quality/smooth vodka.
