alright fellas need some help here bought a 07 salvaged but in decent shape just needed a radiator and bodywork, headlight, and a battery fuel pump comes on bike turns over but does not start just cranks over and over....heres the kicker when i put the radiator in and the battery i tryed starting it and it started no problem ran alittle rough but im guessing the bike has not ran in awhile. But idled and reved fine theres also a plug next to the 3rd light in the headlight that im not sure where it plugs into help me out guys im kinda at a loss here lol.
i dont think its a light but i could be wrong does anything plug into the ram air duct? yes has plenty of gas in it
ok if it was the intake temp sensor and it wasnt plugged in would that cause the bike to not start? im a honda guy used to just turning the key and riding lol not used to all this yamaha nonsense.
Does the bike throw any codes? Have you checked the plugs to make sure one or more is not fouled from old fuel?
does not seem to be throwing any codes at all the yellow light is on whenu turn the key on but thats it and no havent swaped out the plugs doenst really seem like the fuel that was in the tank smelt varnished or anything....so i guess swapping plugs didnt really come to mind charged up the battery alittle more today and and cranked it over some more and every once in awhile it will kinda hiccup but thats it
It will run without the sensor, If it fired at all I would say fouled plugs. A lot of salvage bikes will have oil in the top end from laying on their side. As well as Joe at the boneyard cranking on it with the throttle wide open. If it has a pc3, even more likely since most run richer than stock.
error code 22 is intake temp sensor failure. 11 Cylinder identification sensor failure 12 Crankshaft position sensor failure 13 Intake pressure sensor failure 14 Intake pressure sensor pipeline failure 15 Throttle position sensor wire disconnected or short-circuited 16 Throttle position sensor stuck 21 Water temperature sensor failure 22 Intake temperature sensor failure 23 Atmospheric pressure sensor failure 24 Oxygen sensor failure 30 Lean angle cut-off switch activated 31 Maximum allowable Oxygen sensor correction level exceeded 32 Oxygen sensor correction level too low 41 Lean angle cut-off switch disconnected or short-circuited 42 Vehicle speed sensor or neutral switch failure 43 Monitor voltage -- less than 3v 44 ECU failure
thanks no new info then cause the bike apparently will run with the sensor missing but mine does not lol anyone wanna buy it cheap i want my honda back lol
i am officially at a loss i have no idea whats going on with this thing it simply will not start. tried everything i can think of its throwing error code 22 but shouldnt effect it starting cranks over doesnt fire with the occasional hiccup like it will fire but hardly ever.
