Like most new technologies that come out, there's quite a few platforms that support it, but not a hell of alot of content out there yet to make use of it. Kinda like all these 7.1 surround home theater systems.......Have you ever actually looked up how many movies are encoded in 7.1 surround, hardly any.
ESPN 3D. Discovery is going with a 3D channel. Now if they start talking about XBox 360 and MW2 going 3D, I might have to find stuff to sell.
Ahh.. 3d has been around since the 50's so 60 year old tech finally coming in to your living room really does not interest me at all. Unless i can play cod in 3d that would be sensational
NVIDIA and ATI and Matrox have been doing this for several years. A decade at least for anyone seriously interested in it. As you may have noticed it has never really caught on in the home. Until the head gear is removed from the equation I'm guessing it never will.
I was pondering this one. Yes it's a DLP but $1000 for a 65 incher ain't bad, and replacing a $100 DLP lamp ever now and again ain't so bad. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...ductdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=corp&sku=A3092265
sony has some early versions of 3D games that are playable already. i'd be surprised if microsoft didn't have some in the works too. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/105/1058899p1.html
This would be excellent for pornos where both the person delivering the pizza and the person answering the door are women. But make one of them a guy, and not so much. (Picture 3D junk coming at ya. Yeah, I thought so)
I'll pass. I'm still trying to warm up to this cell phone thing. I did just pick up a kewl new toy- a hard drive recorder with a built in tuner that allows me to ditch the DTV converter box. Basically a DVR without the cable bill. Hooked it up last night- got a few extra channels my converter didn't pick up and the picture is awesome! Also has a DVD recorder.
I was at the local gaming hang out. A large building stuffed with all the games you would ever want to play. In an upstairs area they were testing out a 3D TV and it was phenomenal. Completely mesmerizing and best of all NO glasses required! Even at a premium prices, it may be well worth it.
3D gives me a headache, can't take more then a couple minutes in a theatre is this technology non migrane 3D?
No thanks to big pokers right in my face...you can have that ! The new stuff is well setup and the glasses they give you now are a lot better. The old stuff was prone to making you feel uncomfortable especially if the operators did not set it up properly. You can even buy stylish 3D glasses off the internet that wrap around I have the Nvidia 3D capable card in my PC but never tried it. I may have to get the glasses since seeing how well it worked in Avatar.
