Very nice to see the three Americans qualify so well. I just hope no one gets punted on the first lap (fingers crossed). 5 positions ahead of JT52 on his first weekend. That must hurt
Well you know, it's taking Toseland a bit to get used to the GP bike again after riding the R1 last week.... I still say top 5 in the race, podium is possible. Wish he'd been able to do even a little testing on it (yes, I know that's what this weekend is).
Toseland had to ride Pirelli's last week, so he is probably having a hard time getting used to the Bridgestones. I believe a top 5 is possible.
Yes Toseland was - on the new 2010 spec tires, not the same exact equipment as Ben. Haga was faster than his times from the weekend too.
Re-watching the QP feed right now, and I have to say watching Stoner throw the Ducati around, leaving black marks everywhere, is amazing. My money's also on him.
So basically there's only 6 or 7 guys in the world that are able to get the true potential out of a motogp bike. Spies is gonna be one of those few undoubtedly. 3 Americans in that group aint bad. Get em' boys.
I just watched the QP highlights. Stoner might run away with this one. I'm happy for Hayden 6th position. I hope he has a good race and podiums. I like Spies as well, but I hope he doesn't beat Hayden. They showed Hayden leg dangling too. I think he just started doing that?
Anyone else catch wind of the rumor that MotoGP is going to 1000cc in 2012? Is this news legit? I read quotes from Herve Poncheral talking about it. Is this old and i somehow completely missed it? I figured this would be front page all over the place God i hope this happens!
