So what if she thinks races shouldn't mix? Is she advocating for laws to criminalize fraternization outside your heritage? There's a HUGE difference between disagreeing with something and promoting legislation to outlaw it. I'm free to think Honda riders are total douchebags and should have to race on Tomahawks, doesn't mean I'm gonna be lobbying the rules committees to create a dumbass rule to discriminate against the Riders of the Red. Now if you'll excuse me, time to go spoon that set of old stinky Dunnies off the StuporHawk and finding me some Tommies.
Wow, that pic is sooooooooo bad, big fucking deal. I think the swimsuits they wore showed more skin. They are obviously trying to get rid of her,
Something you all may be overlooking in this one...pageant people are every bit as nutty as dog show people. Trying to decipher their decisions is akin to arguing with amafan, IMO.
Is this a position statement? It's difficult to derive your point from one word. Pithy comment, though.
Weight Loss Houston I think that when your Ms. California some girls might look up to you and you represent California to some people so taking topless photos is probably not a good idea. She should really think before she does things.
My post had nothing to do with lobbying for rights or passing legeslatin. She thinks gay people don't deserver to be happy because that is what her parents (re: I was brought up) and church say. my point If her grandma was in the klan would there be a rally of support if she said she supported segregration? either view is one of intolerance and narrow minded parroting the sentiments of your elders no matter how ass-backwards they may be. nothing worse than worn slicks...usually little to no tread left on them
there is nothing wrong with those photos...no worse than a bikini...no nudity or provacaive pose (that is the part that gets me mad) She made herself a target and now folks are taking their shots
If she's representing California, then possing topless without showing breasts is a pour representation of the state that is the porn capital of the world. I think your right, she should do porn to best represent her state.
Having personally dealt with 'pageant people' and 'dog show people', you are entirely correct. I might add that previous 'Queens" (as they are know in the pageant world) have been stripped of their crowns for racy or nude photos. Most notably Vanessa Williams. American Idol kicked off Frenchy, a front runner, for some stuff that was on a porn site. Like others have said, you basically sign a contract stating that nothing embarrassing in your past can come back to bite them in the ass. You lie, they strip you of your title, pretty simple. Believe me, they have teams of lawyers for this stuff.
What's the word? Did they find actual nude photos of her? So far I haven't seen anything even close to what Vanessa Williams got her crown taken for. If there are nude photos then the girl hardly has a leg to stand on.
They don't have to be nude, just questionable. Sad, but true. These girls who do the pageants know this, so it's no surprise.
To who's standard is "questionable"? Too broad of a word. I would be amazed if that vague of wording was used in a legal document. Attorney's would eat that up.
Miss PRK, who really cares what she says? Just keep posing... I'd like to take this moment and thank the lord for women's lib -> women in the workplace -> affairs -> broken homes -> missing dads -> and hot chicks taking off their clothes and being big ole' sluts just to get a guy's attention. I salute you.
I'm sure it's not "questionable". It's probably more like 'do harm to the reputation of the organization' followed by a list of what will do harm: that would include drug use, nude or semi nude photos, DUI or other convictions. I know that there's a pretty strict code of conduct regarding public displays of affection as well. Like i said, these girls know full well what they are getting into. If they don't, it's their own fault for not reading all of the print in the contract. That is, if they can read. (Miss America system... mostly yes...Miss USA, I'm still not convinced.)
