I hope Mark does make it to the Shepard Center. I hear great things about them. They were instrumental in helping a colleague recover from a neck down paralysis after a bad fall from a horse. I don't know if the circumstances are similar, but Ken is walking today because of them.

I'm hoping and praying Mark will do the same.

 

Just as long as he still has all of `em...

 

All the good thoughts and heartfelt prayers are outbound from another racer.
I'm sure you'll remain a leader in this community, as you've always been.

Get well soon Mark. I've never met you in person but I've laughed like a jackass on acid at some of your posts here.

I hope you get the same hot nurse I had during my short stay at UAB.

 

Don't know you except via the message board and your videos....My thoughts are with you during this difficult time in your life.

i just spoke w/ samantha.(marks g.f.) she informed me that this morning while the nurses were getting him ready for his wrist surgery, he seemed to know which foot the nurse was touching. i don't want to get any hopes up. i do know that the fractures in the vertebre t-3, t-4 and a lower vertebre are not broken apart. there seems to be a small piece(bone spur) in one of the vertebre fractures that is touching the spinal cord. hopefully it has'nt damaged the spinal cord. maybe it's just pressing against, or swollen to the point that it's causing temporary paralysis. i hope this is the case. his wrist is being put together now. prolly finished. he's going in for surgery on his spine tomorrow. hang tough mark b.!
