I'm not making a compelling argument here. I think in most of the above, and even wrt to moussaoui or ramsi binalshibh, there's not much point in putting the screws to them as they probably don't know much. I'd certainly never support torturing an american citizen (except in cases I mentioned earlier, kidnapped kid, ticking clock, etc., and then the torturer may face criminal charges if he's wrong), and never on american soil.

I suppose I was hot about something that happened yesterday. anyway, maybe a better way to say it is that wrt to muslim radicals (naming them here because they're the guerrillas du jour, but not specific to religion) if torture might be effective, and you can find someone willing to carry it out, *and* manage to keep it quiet, then give it a shot. I have little respect for a culture that glorifies the crap they're pulling right now. any group willing to murder like that is subhuman, and I'm having trouble believing they're entitled any human rights. true, you wouldn't treat an animal like that, true, we're not shining examples of virtue at the moment, but I can remember only one american terrorist bomber.

I love these forums. First they start with someone posting something they found and asking what everyone thinks. Then there are actually a few semi-educational/coherent responses to the statement. Then comes the guy that says "I disagree, and you're all assholes for thinking otherwise!" Then there is the next guy that says all the first guy's sources are crap, after that everyone flames each other with flamethrowers and the first educational response is forgotten. I love it!!! I think terrorists should be murdered where they stand and sent to Allah cause thats where they want to go anyway. :up:
