To be fair, he did have a few of those weekends on the yamaha. Rode like Lorenzo, and put it on pole, and checked out from lights out. Anytime he had to start a few places back though, he always dropped like a rock until 8-10 to go, and then he's lighting it up setting fastest laps from p10. Today was a snapshot into the past, and was cool to see. Even better because I swapped him for miller in the fantasy pool .
cant wait to see how the medium tire effects everyone tomorrow nakagami, zarco, and mir wreck today.... luca marini in last... ouff honda.
Does yamaha have a new bike in development for the rule changes coming in 2026(or is it 27?). I just hope they don't walk away....
Rumor, they’re working on something new…besides new graphics. They didn’t resign FQ20 without showing him something new for the future. Yamaha has the resources to compete with the Euro’s. Their problem has always been at headquarters in Japan. They move at a snail’s pace, and want to make every decision, big or small, their decision. They’ve always been that way. Even back in the day, Japanese engineers at the track had to get corporate approval from home before they could make certain changes to factory bikes.
Respect to the TV director. You don't often see someone who decides there is something more interesting on track than watching the winner cross the finish line.
