Yes. Poodles have more human like hair which is why they need grooming so much, it keeps growing so if you let it the chin hair will grow that long.
Nah... I don't use treats to "make friends" with dogs. It's gottta be about trust, not resources. I have a narrow window when I take on a client with a dog like this. If I can get their trust in the first 5ish visits, we'll be best buds for life. Some of my favorite dogs have started out just like Piper. But if we don't make that breakthrough by the 6th, 7th, 8th time I see them, we generally never do. By then I've 'trained' them that if they just dart around and bark threateningly, I'll eventually leave. Again, nah. I'll push it with a standoffish dog like this, so I've been bitten a few times, maybe 4 or 5 serious enough to require more than a band-aid. But I've only hit a dog 3 times. And they were NOT these standoffish ones, and they are NOT my customers anymore. People with vicious dogs that attack on sight shouldn't have yard care services without absolutely confining their dogs. But then, most people are fkn stoopid.
Without fail, the likelihood of someone owning an aggressive dog is inversely proportional to their ability to safely manage one.
Are you saying that this guy wasn't on top of the situation? https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/20/pit-...on-killing-mauling-euthanized-animal-control/
Where I now live in N.California, dog attacks are so common. Yet no one ever has the frame of mind to shoot the damn thing!! My girlfriend's grandson was attacked horribly by a neighbor's pit.The neighbors, of course moved away promptly. Then maybe a month ago, the kid, and a friend were telling me about a rottweiler that was loose and chasing them on their bicycle's. I looked for it,but couldn't find it. Horrible dog owners in Lake county! That would never fly in Ga. That guy in the TMZ article had zero business raising Pitts!
We were at a dog park this afternoon with our mini doodle. A pitbull was there first and absolutely raged at our dog when we got closer. What the hell? Why are you there?
Every mouth breathing, straight billed, C-sucker in Lake County has a pit-bull..and just like you said,to flex. Never seen anything like it in my life
