If they all fit on the same number of airplanes, it's only a marginal, probably inconsequential extra cost. If I had to guess, I would say it saves them the millions of euros in subsidies to each additional satellite team, and fewer people to share the revenues. I suppose it doesn't matter much to them to see guys that are good enough to be of the show have to get out because careers have gotten longer for the more successful guys, which makes turnover lower, and that is in conflict with the commitment to promoting the top guys from the support classes all the way to the top. I would be curious to know what their reasoning is.
Is it too much to wish to see Marc and Acosta on Factory Honda, but for Honda to start purchasing customer bikes from KTM and swapping bodywork?
