Doubt he would have any more luck there, than Bautista did? If he does it, maybe he can sign with Ducati, after Bautista retires?
I'm thinking the only way he goes is with a conditional offer to MotoGP. Redbull sponsors Toprak, would be an easy transition to MotoGP.
Someone was on the fp2 broadcast, maybe it was Topraks manager or the Pata Team boss, however, I'm paraphrasing but they said Yamaha made the best offer they could make and it was an amazing offer to retain Toprak.
They better give Toprak a ripe offer. Who does the tuning fork turn to if Toprak leaves? Localtitties never has been at the tip of the pointy end and only occasionally hangs around there. Redding is done IMO, Rea is not leaving Kawi, Rinaldi has not shown any winning merit either... Maybe some young talent like Lecuona or Bassani if they get snubbed. Or a GP migrant: Morbidelli???
Aegerter looks promising, Morbidelli would be interesting for sure. The race is for second until something changes with the Ducati/Bautista pairing. No amount of money to Toprak is going to change Yamaha’s championship hopes. Honda would have to really show something to attract top talent. They can’t seem to engineer a MotoGP or WSBK bike right now.
last i heard, Franco is anti WSBK. Toprak isnt going anywhere, yet another unintended consequence of Yamaha losing a satellite GP team
The 250 revs for Kaw only brings them up to where Yamaha is, and Ducati is over 16k still. The one thing nobody can explain, is if the Duc is the reason the other teams can't compete, then why aren't all the other Ducati teams on the podium every race? It should be a lockout.
Isn’t the duc revs limit lower than a bike off the showroom floor while all the other bikes are higher?
I'm pretty sure I heard early in the broadcast that Kawi wasn't using their extra revs this weekend, but expected to try it out at an upcoming test.
