Pretty much. They do have a locator function, but if you're in mountainous terrain its not going to do you much good.

pretty much every Friday night or Saturday about a thousand people descend uptown downtown and ride bikes all around the city with grom riders working as intersection blockers. That music is coming from a bike btw. They ride all over from downtown to Santa Monica to Hollywood

 

It happens often, I don't understand humans...

its called "bike party" have them here. i dont mind it. theyre polite and cool and they go around inviting anyone they find on a bicycle. better than dirtbikes, atvs, sportbikes and spyders all out being assholes together.
