That's a nice looking field hopefully the bikes match the talent on them

What is the difference between the BMW M and S?

    30 bikes, pretty nice.

The M has quite a few changes from the S 1000RR, supposed to be better at everything

M is based on the S but has more power and torque, less weight, upgraded brakes, lotsa carbon parts and carbon wheels and, of course, the all important winglets !!!

Then why are a couple of the superbikes listed as S rather than using an M as the base?

I think Ashton still running the old BMW superbike from Scheibe, they didnt have M's back then.

I am part of the "team" for Danilo Lewis and we just cant afford the M, its about twice the price of the base version.

IIRC the starting base price for the M is about $33k and the S is about $17k.

yes, younger brother.... has some motoamerica experience, he ran ktm cup back in 2015 and did some one off supersport races in 2016/17. pretty sure he is doing stock 1000/superbike cup this year

So Altus motorsports is only fielding 1 bike in superbike?

Ummmm...looking at the superbike field I see Paasch. So riding a superstock bike I assume.

Superbike cup. Is that a new term that means your not in superbike?

Yes, Superbike Cup are the Stock1000 bikes running at the same time as the Superbikes, its its own championship, those riders get scored on overall and also on Superbike Cup.

Huh, I had no idea Ezra was coming to MA. Last I heard he was still riding AFM, and doing pretty well IIRC.

I wish the entry list reflected who was SBK and who was SBK Cup.

    No, 27 just retired...

It’s been 14 years since the number 27 was on the Superbike grid.

There is no shortage of our signature Blue and Orange colors on the grids either... quite flattering, lots of riders that rode for us and or we assisted over the years in some capacity use it. I don’t know EZ but did notice his number and colors last year and was surprised.

There seem to be a handful of riders running STK1000 and SBK on different machines this year. Gillam, Yates, maybe some others. Unfortunately, we probably have to wait for RA's entry lists or results to tell who's who.

Good to see journeyman racer David Anothny still on the grid.

Only one CBR1000RR-R SP-RR-NSR-CBR Fireblade SP on the grid that I see.

I figured those bikes would take over the grid as far as being a privateers choice.
