Just have to remember to “lay’er down” when ya hit the grass! @Dave K Bite me, VW lost their way around 1990. Just living off the GTI legacy now...
Have you driven in the 7th generation GTI and R? It's one of the best platforms in the entire auto business
The DSG transmission mated to that 2.0t engine is magic. That Audi/ VW chassis is freakin’ awesome. Really, from the MK6 and on, they just kill it. I like the A3 5 door more but the GTI is a must drive. The golf R is betterer, almost perfect.
It can’t be perfect when it has 2 xtra tires.... Cars are for old people who don’t ride anymore. /thread
drive it like a big twin and it’s fun. Torque it out of the corners, fun shit. Drive it like quarter liter Yamaha stink wheel and it’ll make you look like a gawd. Womens will want you, dudes will want to be you and honder R Typers will hate you.
Same. I lost the front there a few years ago (same weekend Fong went flying past the link). If that barrier was there I'm not sure I'd still be here.
0 to 60 I'm under 3.9 and 1/4 mile times in the mid 11s are not bad for a car living in the past. Also, faster lap times than a bunch of "sports cars", and yep....it brings all the girls to the yard.
met you, hippy Joe, cbchad, my brother putter, Scotty rocks, dart and so many others face to face there. Love the place because of that. The supermoto race over at the short track, still smile about that. and holy shit, meeting Buckwild there still pops me. Holy f@ck, that’s another all around, once in a lifetime dude who corners low.
