Some decent racing this weekend, weather was good. Curious what the deal was with the Aprilia, just because it’s a new bike.
Side note remember when Supersport was fun to watch....... wait edit... remember when all the classes were fun to watch..... the gaps in equipment and talent is crazy.
Just watched SBK race 1. Scholtz pass on Baz was text book "you're gonna give me this line or we're both going down". Little did Baz know there is not"outside line" into 10a, at least not at their speed. Good stuff.
While they were showing Rocco fall over from a backflip, SDK was right behind him and he attempted to do a burnout but fell over too haha
Let me offer some push back: SDK was clearly on a mission after last season and looks borderline unstoppable RE had his back up bike and was hurting after his wreck and had the added weight Rocco and team havent done any work with the electrionics on his new bike so they have some speed to find Side Note - the top two have the experience over everyone else and continuity matters. I also think the track exaggerates the gap
I still think SuperSport is a good watch. This season probably won’t match the 2019 season, but there’s still some good racing going on. Escalante had a tough weekend and I bet he was either fighting some nagging pain or the backup bike was not set up as well as the A bike. I think Rocco will close the gap to the front. Race 2 showed his last lap racecraft is fantastic. It may take a few rounds to get the bike dialed, and it’s a different animal compared to the twin and JC bike. Hopefully Mesa can get up to SDK and Escalante’s pace too so we can have a four-way battle at the front. That save by Benjamin Smith was unreal. Also, the Robem RS660 looks fucking sick.
