You're probably right. Professional buyers know what we don't and scoop up all the deals. I'm sure they're pulling 25% plus.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-toyota-land-cruiser-fj80/ This is what gets me. I've wanted one of these for years, and if I wasn't so stupid I'd have realized that deals like this wouldn't be around long. Could have bought that for $6600, done nothing but drive it, and today it's worth damn near triple.
Happens to all of us. I owned a 930 Turbo for 12 years and sold it before they went crazy. I got $20K out of it, but it was worth over $100K for awhile and now back down to $50-70K.
here you go...bit of a drive.... https://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/d/columbus-2000-lexus-lx470-4wd-4990/7122926924.html https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/ctd/d/westland-2000-lexus-lx470/7130904058.html https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/d/valparaiso-2004-lexus-lx470/7130677446.html
No in LA of all places. Crazy ocd owner who didn’t use it but thought it was cool to have anyway. It’s going back to Wisconsin though, the looong way.
Didn’t check the links again but I remember one of those looking pretty nice. I see a really well put together 470 overlander in my neighborhood from time to time. It’s pretty cool.
Guess who sold the 4Runner and is looking for a 100 or early 200 series cruiser. Anyone have any leads?
Agreed. I'm in the market for more of a reliable beater than a show piece. Currently "between jobs". Sold the 4Runner and looking at 100 series cruiser or possibly GXs.
80’s are getting scarce and expensive especially for an underpowered lumber wagon but I’m not giving mine up. It’s a little too clean to abuse the way I do but that’s what it’s for.
