One of the few people on this board that I catually knew, Kurt was the guy in the big cowboy hat who took me under his wing at a Tally track day when I came to shake down my Ninja 250. For the next three years if I had a question about anything, he was the guy I went to and he always had time for me. He was solid as a rock. The limited interaction I saw between him and his family lead me to believe that he was a good father and husband. Rest in peace, Kurt. You will be missed. Prayers for Deidre and the kids. I hope that they will eventually find peace.
Seriously????!!!! Dammit!!! So sorry Kurt . You are going to really be missed at the track. Prayers for his family RIP
Read Jasons post about 3 hours ago. Been standing around numb ever since. And crying. Crying alot. This really hits home. God I'm so fucking sad.
RIP, didn't know him but he sounds like a great guy that will be missed. Been a rough year as far as losing people on here.
So terribly saddened by this news. Kurt was one of the first friends I made riding WERA. The first night we met I retired early and was already sleeping when he noticed my generator was seeping fuel. He barely knew me but just fabricated a makeshift fuel line clamp with safety wire rather than wake me up. He was just that kind of guy who made the world a better place everywhere he went. RIP old buddy. So sad for Diedra and the kids.
Anyone got that picture of Kurt wearing the cowboy hat holding a chainsaw standing on a log in the water? That was a badass pic of Kurt. I'd like to download that and have it printed to keep in my shop.
Damn this one hurts, Kurt was a great guy and will be greatly missed. Always been a fixture in the WERA paddock as long as I've been racing. Prayers go out to his family.
To wake up to this truly horrible news really sucks. Rest in Peace Kurt. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
Wow. Didn't see this one coming. Kurt was a good man willing to lend a hand to anyone. It is sad that no one is safe these days. Prayers to his wife and kids. Still can't believe.
