    I was at Del Mar for the "Last Jam" before they dozed it. I will never forget watching Hosoi, the entire Bones Brigade, Lucero and the rest destroy the bowl that day.

    Maybe he should get serious about his racing like me. Give him a better chance to spend time with Paris. The body work is still for sale. The person who won the biding on E Bay was fake. Jay & Paris autographed the tank.

    We used to watch hokus pokus alot before we went out skating. I love that video. I still have a super old one called sick boys on the original vhs in the case.

    I wish I would have saved my Matt Hensley board. It was his last model (plan b i think) before retirement.

    I still love skateboarding. Too bad my ankles hate it so much.

    Rodney Mullen made that transition better than anyone I think.

    Rodney was his own thing. He was a 1st gen. original for sure.
    Always had a lot of respect for him even though I didn't really understand freestyle.

    What's funny is you wouldn't have a conversation with him, or even look at him really and leave with the impression of how genius a skateboarder can be.
    Smart enough to create and sell a business for almost $50m.

  16. Anyone have contacts at TMZ? We need to get them to change the headlines.

    And he owned a sweet little bar in Carlsbad, till about two years ago. it was called Hensleys. go figure. live music every weekend.

    :rock::up:

  18. Agreed. Of course, the freestyle boards he rode were almost like a mini prototype for the new style of boards, and that style of riding was real technical!

    I always kept an eye out for him when I was close to the engineering buildings at UF. Had heard he was a student there but didn't know if that was true or not.
    What business did he start/sell?
