Yes, it makes an improvement...but is the same as the improvement you will get on a turbo diesel? you should be stoned (biblical style) for buying a gas rv.
Ive never gotten less than 5mpg. With approximately 83 sq ft of frontal area. Really its the allison trans that makes the difference.
So when are you finally going to purchase this monstrosity? Enough talk. I wanna see what your idea of the perfect race rig is.
http://arizonaclassiccarsales.com/vehicle/4531043/2008-prevost-marathon-h3-45-phoenix-arizona-85027 These photos help to show why a Prevost cost so much- in this case a 2008 for just under $1mm The wood, stone and fabric is gorgeous. The fit and finish is exceptional.
Eh, at the end of the day, I dont care about most of that shit. I remember when the bodystyle changed on the Escalades in 2007. A bunch of us on the Caddy forum ordered ours, then some people did research and found out the wood (dash, etc) wasnt REAL wood. You wouldn't believe the bunched panties over it. I was like "who gives a shit? If somebody hadnt told you, you would have never known the difference". Im not the type of person to pay extra for real wood or marble counters etc. None of that shit makes a tangible difference in my experience/enjoyment during a weekend.
In an RV it makes a huge difference on how long the interior stays nice. It's important in that case like it is at home - and imagine your home running down the road at 75-80.
Hey you can lead the horse to the trough but ..... That thing is gorgeous! EXCEPT for one feature that I see in just about every single million dollar unit, that damned Italian lacquer type finish on all their wood....WTF is that all about?!?!? Call me crazy but if I won the big lotto tomorrow, I don't think I'd buy anything 'grander' than say the Newmar Essex, which only goes for a paltry $750k, , and I LOVE the way the interior looks! Very well said!!! Of course having an outie and innie set of wheels side x side is another story though.
I think that was owned or leased by Will Smith during filming of one of his last movies. Saw it on World's Nuttiest RV's or whatever that tv show was called.
Here is a cool peterbilt although it's probably to small for what you need. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/rvs/4462988088.html
We just got this in as a trade in. I am thinking about keeping it for my mom, sister, and wife to use for their horse shows. Freightliner Columbia fully loaded.
