Football. The sport where fat guys who can't run further than the length of the field can be called athletes.
Yes sir! I played/play both. At 53 I can still play hockey and hang with the twenty-somethings. I can't do that in football
I played the other day at a rink here. Have not played in a while! played with a composite stick for the first time in my life....going back to wood next time! No feel what so ever! disregard that! hockey sucks!
Every sport is littered with high school and college drop-outs who thought they would make it big and didn't apply themselves. In my experience, I have yet to meet a college edumactaed Hockey Player whose degree is in Communications or basket weaving. Most have science or business based degrees. I can't say the same about the football players I've met.
I will agree on the dentures. I dont believe that there are not a whole bunch of football players applying for MENSA memberships though...
thats why i tried composite...wood ones are hard to come by! all the sticks i have left are from 10-15 years ago, when I played all the time.
Peter Dyakowski....my former LSU teammate...mensa member. Voted Canada's smartest man! he happens to be Canadian, unfortunately. How many hockey players did that?
I hadn't played any hockey(and only pick up games at that), in almost 20 years when I decided to play on the "old man league" with a friend. Went and bought all the hockey gear and also planned on buying a Christian Bros stick. Couldn't find one, or an all wood stick to save my life. Composites feel weird. Oh, and I sucked once I got on the ice.
Well with a last name like that and also from Canada you should know he would have higher than average IQ! Thats one person though. Are you inferring that all football players are smart because of the accomplishments of one man? (Nope, I couldnt find a hockey player in MENSA ) And a special shout out to rd400racer. F you!!!!
I keed, I keed! I love Canadians! Never got so drunk when we were at Silver Sticks in Sarnia and got stuck in a snowstorm...trudged over to the bar across the street and the entire town bought us goofy Kentuckians shots all night. Let's not forget about that great Oiler Randy Gregg...I mean Dr. Randy Gregg, 5 time Stanley Cup winner:up:
