I meet Jeff the year I started to ride with NOTB / AOD and I will never forget the times we had riding on and off the track. Jeff was a truly talented racer on two wheels and an amazing motor builder. We have not stayed in touch over the years other than some business I would send his way from time to time. I do think of him every time I go snowboarding or swing a leg over my dirt bikes as I use the carbon fiber knee braces he used. A highlight from our team meals is how Jeff would order a “sweeeeet tea”. RIP JW
I remember thinking I would like to have his life building motors and racing motorcycles... damn! Nice guy. RIP
Remember they made us move because Jess had on a red shirt.....lol. I still remember hearing case parts bounce down the track at 180mph when that thing popped!
Billy Ethridge called me last night, to tell me the news. I simply COULD NOT believe it. I must've asked 20 times, "Are you f*****g with me?" I met Jeffro back in 2004 when Billy asked me to help with the team since he had just signed the Maxxis contract. Jeffro was the fastest guy on the team, most weekends. Crozier was always givin him grief over it. Jeffro never bragged, ran his mouth, nor started drama. He would just get to work! When I decided to race in 2005, Jeffro built my motor and helped in my pits. Even though I raced against him and Billy. I had a leaky head gasket, later that season. I took the motor down to his shop and he fixed it for free. Wouldnt take a penny for it. We gave him endless grief over the "porn-stache" until he finally shaved it later in the season. May he find eternal peace from whatever demons he wrestled . . . Godspeed Jeffro!
RIP Jeff. And too the many people here who were his friends, I am sorry for your loss. Jeff was obviously held in a distinct regard.
So sorry to hear, haven't spoken to Jeff in a long time, but sure did enjoy his company!! Godspeed Jeff. One of my favorite pics is the sunset pic of AOD!!! MISS ALL YOU GUYS AND GALS!
Holy shit. This sucks. I have not seen Jeff in a few years, but I know Micah one of his mechanics/partner? maybe. Jeff tuned my 03 GSXR for me, and told me the story about the turbo bike at VIR. He was one of the first "racers" I knew personally. RIP man.
Damn, that boy and I had some fun times on and off the track. He may be gone but I still have some awesome memories that I will NEVER forget. RIP Jeff you will be missed.
