can any one tell me if a 2001 ZX-9R front end(triples,forks,wheel,calipers,clip-ons,controls) can be used on a SV 650. what would it require and would it be worth it ? I have this front end and thought about using it rather than selling it.
    thanks

If it fits it would be better than stock. Since you have it, why don't you disassemble the SV front end and see if the ZX's stem and bearings are compatable?

    Why??

The ZX9 had a terrible front end......

    ZX7 on the other hand.....

P.S. a 96-99 GSXR front end is a direct bolt up..

    uhhh, why?

Just bring the whole ZX-9 over to the V7 race if it's old enough.
Why do people insist on trying these science projects?

Just go find a GSX-R front to put on it or run stock with re-valving. & the ZX-9 springs will be way too strong.

Thanks for the input. I never heard of anyone using one,so I had to ask.
Guess I'll try to sell it and find GSXR 600 front.
    Hellooooo Ebay!
    Thanks again

Before you run off to Ebay, the 96-03 (at least) *750* front end will bolt on to an '03 SV. An earlier SV will require a different bearing set. The 600 stuff may work also, but the USD forks are much cheaper and easier to come by.
