Basics of a story. Woman house foreclosed on. Auctioned off. A stranger buys it and gives it back to the woman. Not free but as a goodwill loan. I think that we will make it through these tough times.

Hope is altruism from an individual. Not from government. I can decide what to do for own well being.

 

So you're saying human nature is altruistic? In other words, communism may just work... Didn't expect that from you.

 

Only voluntary communism works.

 

Maybe the sherrifs will step up with a goodwill foreclosure.

 

Human nature is not altruisic. One can decide do it if one wishes.

As for communism working...define working communism.

 

For the life of me I can't think of any form of govenment that has worked yet. Well except maybe in the future in the HG Wells Time Machine and even that was doomed to fail in the end with the arrival of a guy from the past.
