Yoshimura Fork Extenders for Showa BPF Forks - HELP

    Hi all,

I'm trying to install Yoshimura fork extenders (1118-FTC) on my 13 GSX-R1000 Showa forks. How do I transfer over the (aluminum) OEM damping adjuster from the (red) OEM fork caps to the (black) Yosh fork caps?

It would appear that the damping adjuster simply threads off but no such luck. No instructions were supplied by Yosh. When I had purchased Traxxion extenders for GSX-R750 clear instructions were provided.

Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, the OD of the damping adjuster is 24mm and the OD of the Yosh fork cap damping hub is slightly under 22mm... not a lot of meat for threaded application.

The caps are anodized red, the adjuster is plain aluminum. How are they attached?

    Thank you.

Okay, so it really is that simple? And standard thread direction?? Thank you!

Got it, thanks! Bit of low-temp oven time helped break em apart.
