Any Yoshi EMS users have a solution for the situation of the cable supplied not fitting any of the ports on your lap-top?

I just got a new EMS and the cable is of the "old school" sort that my lap top does not have. Like a 9 pin square.

    Any adapters or anything?

    Thanks

you should be able to pick up a USB to Serial Adapter at any electronics/computer store.

Thanks for the help. I wasn't sure if such a device was even available. Ill head up to Best Buy and Circuit City and see whats out there.

New EMS does me little good if I can't use my lap top to load the darn thing.

Finally got through with a tech at Yoshimura-rd, the tech who makes the maps and does the tune and testing.

Anyhow, he pointed me toward an adapter that works great, in essense it turns the Yoshi EMS into a Yoshi EMS-USB. The cable supplied is outdated and the EMS should come with the usb type cable that i purchased.

Anyhow, should be fun to see how it all works now.
