Without liberals: - Genders would be based on the science of one of two sets of chromosomes that permeates throughout the entire animal (and plant) kingdoms. - People would understand that elections have consequences and would not riot when not getting their way - Schools would again have common sense, where suspensions would not be handed out for kids that bite a Poptart in a certain way, or show up to school with a shirt that has a Star Wars Stormtrooper on it. - Schools would also not have Common Core that tries to defend 1+1= 3, or nineteen steps for simple division that used to take five steps. More steps= more margin for error. - Kids would be prepared for the real world. - Double standards for Hollywood elite would not exist, where they lecture you on “carbon footprints”, “open borders” and “gun control” from their private jets, fleet of Range Rovers and mega yachts, behind their walled off gated communities surrounded by armed security. - Democrat politicians would also have to follow the same rules and ethics that Republicans do. - We wouldn’t have to listen to teachers whine about not getting yearly salary increases, when all around them are seeing their incomes reflect the actual economy, listen to them whine about having to pay something towards their health insurance……like everyone else, and then throw the fact into everyone’s face in June that they have three months off of vacation…..unlike everyone else that are ecstatic with three or four WEEKs. - People would actually understand that climate does change and fluctuate and draconian policies would not be based on a 150 year sample of biased selective data for a 4 billion year old planet. - People would also understand that we are coming out of a 10,000 year old ice age and that warming is actually expected and these trends tend to cycle throughout history. - Sports would again do what sports are supposed to do. Have a winner and have a loser. - History would remain history and we wouldn’t have Civil War museums that have to take down displays or censor history books because of a “certain flag”. Lincoln would remain a Republican. The Democrats would still be the party that spawned the KKK and voted for slavery and against blacks and women to vote. - Butthurt would be down 95% - Murder rates would also plummet 95%. The Gang bangers in Chiraq, Milwaukee, Houston, Detroit and Compton are not voting for the GOP. - We wouldn’t have people screaming about the environment while simultaneously having the infrastructure they control have undrinkable water (Flint) or dump trillions of gallons of raw human waste into fresh water every time it rains (Milwaukee). - Our Veterans would receive the respect they earned. - The good guys would still be the good guys and the bad guys would still be the bad guys. - Trial and error would actually count for something and it would show capitalism with competition actually works historically and improves nearly every aspect with socialism/communism being failed concepts. We wouldn’t have to revisit this every 10-20 years. - Free speech would be better understood, but so would consequences for having free speech - The best form of government restriction, the Constitution, would not be marginalized as just some “outdated piece of paper”. - The non-stop tedium of jealousy (listen to how many times ads and speeches by Liberals mention “the rich/wealthy”) would diminish and people would understand there are financial rewards for those that take risks to develop wanted goods and services that then trickle down and help communities of people they employ. - Welfare would be a crutch used when people need it temporarily for unfortunate circumstances and not just a lifestyle with more benefits that those who give them their benefits receive. - Cultural appropriation would be welcomed, especially if people want “diversity” and not a reason to attack someone physically or run them out of business. - A person would be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. - Free markets would be just that. Someone does not have a service you want? Go somewhere else where they have it, or be an entrepreneur and start a business that offers it. - Hitler would have a more correct historical context and not just be thrown out as an insult to everyone you don’t agree with. The world can go along just fine without liberals. Not so sure the reverse is true. Anything I missed?
- The race hustling profiteers would go out of business - We would have no more imaginary victims of imaginary oppression - Mental illness would just about disappear - The world would once again be introduced to logic - Science would no longer be hijacked
Hmmm, had to share this and thought this specific thread would be perfect! God, I hope the whole lot of them, take him up on it. http://tennesseestar.com/2017/06/03/french-president-offers-refugee-status-to-u-s-liberals/
This isn't the way liberals always used to be either, this is just their current incarnation. Liberalism of the past wasn't this bad. I can't even fathom what its gonna be like in another generation or two because I don't suspect they will go through some sort of re-enlightenment, I imagine they'll continue to double-down on stupid.
The only thing that I can think of is this; How boring it would be if there were no liberals. Hell, we wouldn't have anything to laugh and poke fun at.
I agree to a degree, I think these nuts have existed for a long time but they were closet nutjobs, where as the Obama Presidency emboldened them to be more vocal. Personally, thinking we'll probably see more calls for socialism in that time frame.
These are not the liberals who made up the Democrat party when I was young, these are progressives. Progressives have been around for over a century, but they wax and wane. They make sudden fundamental changes in society and then idle for a generation or two. Read up on their history, it's very interesting.
As the husband of a teacher, the reason most teachers gripe about lack of pay raises is because they keep raising the pay to attract new teachers without raising the pay of their experienced teachers. I can see where that would get frustrating.
They should just have one standard full-pay rate for teachers and hire them at a few dollars an hour less and step them up every six months until they reach full pay in two years. That would make everything fair.
Wow, it's not like that here. I'm married to a teacher and her union takes very good care of her. But new teachers here get shafted if they work in the Minneapolis district. (luckily my wife does not) They get rid of them before they can reach their tenure, or make them so miserable that they quit.
Kind of like companies like DIRECTV that offer bonuses and services to new customers that they don't give to decade long loyal customers.
No union down here. After 18 years my wife (who is a speech-language pathologist) is going into private practice, she's done with schools. A caseload of twice the recommended number of students with nothing but criticism from administration has driven her out. I'll be glad she won't be doing 2 or 3 hours worth of paperwork every night.
Sorry to hear she has put up with bad conditions for so long, glad she's getting out. I've heard from friends who teach in other states that it's bad for them too. My wife is pretty fortunate to be in a good suburban district in MN.
