I hate the ones that just calculate RPM/Speed so it will only display with the clutch OUT, in gear. Cheap, aggravating, and missing most of the point.
I think we're talking about seeing the pattern, not what gear you're in. Knowing that you're in fifth gear is not going to help you remember if you should click down or up to find sixth gear. And like I mentioned in my previous post, finding fourth gear on the banking at Daytona is a real eye opener.
Does it really make any difference if a shifter comes with a certain pattern or labeling? Not to me... YMMV
I will volunteer to the beeb that I would absolutely muck up trying to shift one of those 32 speed big rigs with the two shifters for at least the first hour
Yup. Used it once and threw it out as I realized it was worthless unless you just got lost in the gearbox somewhere under acceleration.
