Not to be insensitive, but you're not gonna be around for the aftermath. If "they" want to promote an "anti-speech" agenda, well, CA is certainly the place to start. It'll take years to gain traction. However, once that shit spills over, perhaps even before, the 2A bandwagon will kick it into gear. A lot of us won't be around by then and if we are, we may not survive it either.

I really think the anti-s just haven't gotten the message about America's heart and, if it has to be delivered in person, there will be bloodshed.

I realize that I personally will not be here if, or when, a complete change of governance comes in the US but my descendants will be. I'm looking at the overall complexion (semi-pun intended) of this country if the anti constitution zealots, the Muslims, and some other people, come into control of Government. This country will fall to the extremists and will be forever changed. I suspect that my prediction of another civil war looming in the future is becoming more likely as each year passes. Even factions in the Democratic party seem to be willing to completely alter the direction of the US to some different form of control. That's what I mean when I asked the question in the title of the thread.

Democratic elites don't give two shits what Van Jones thinks. Even they know idiots like him want to start some kind of revolution that can't be won with ballots or guns. You've seen what happens when you go extreme progressive, voters run like hell from it...less Kalifornia.

The progressive left will fold like a tent in a 150 mph wind if shooting ever starts. I can promise which way 99% of the military and veterans will go. And there are not enough anti's with weapons to make a ripple. So, the government going over to them forcefully is a big not. If the Bo-rrack didn't end us they sure can't. We'll all fry under global warming first.

Orvis, I had considered your offspring. Unless they want to be part of a failed evolution, I don't think they would have any concerns that you don't have...other than how to dispose of the bodies. :D
It ain't happenin'. If anything, everything will clean up nicely and they won't have to tolerate the whiny BS.

I didn't read all of that but based on what I did read, (first few paragraphs, I have low tolerance for Jones' dumb ass) he's right about the Democrat party changing. They have no other game, they have to keep running hard left. They have not represented the working class/middle class for a long time, they only represent the welfare class and imported third world poor. They abandoned the working class, they only have radical agendas. They have zero to offer anyone who works and pays taxes period. So they continue to create racist, sexist, radical agendas that don't really exist but it's all they have.

Those of us in MN who aren't brain dead liberals know that Ellison is a real POS. That dude has a radical, racist history including supporting gang banger scum and cop killers. He is very racist against whites and very radical. During the 4th precinct riots, he showed up as a rioter in support of another criminal. (those riots were the result of a shithead that beat up his girlfriend then fought the cops and was on video trying to pull an officer's gun so he got popped)

The Democrats are destroying themselves but who didn't see this coming. I hope Ellison gets the job and I hope they continue to promote radicals from within the party. Obama was a wrecking ball for the party and it cost them 1,000 seats nationwide. America is a lot less tolerant of these commie bastards than Europe and look at how Europe is starting to reject them.

The comment about the military and police being on the side of the people is spot on. Within the ranks there is a strong hatred for Democrats and a strong sense of patriotism.

What I'm getting at is the long term results of people like those in the article. Many of them have some of the oldest arguments in the world. "Let's make changes for the children" "This change will benefit millions of the poor" etc..

Good solid logical arguments against what many of the socialist/liberal/progressive are advocating is drowned out by the voices agreeing with those heart string tugging suggestions. Even die hard conservatives find it difficult to openly advocate against something "for the children" for example. We've already seen a lot of drift in the every day attitudes of a lot of people toward the left side of arguments and that's not going to change. It will continue to drift left until something snaps. What I see a few decades down the road is that we will either end up a totalitarian /socialist or religiously driven country or, if opposite minded people grow alarmed enough, we will have another bitter civil war that will decide the course of the US for decades and decades to come.

Do any of you see what I see?

I understand where you're coming from but, sometimes, you just gotta slap the snot off the whiny kid's face.
All it should take is for the "oh, the children" crowd to be confronted and asked to produce proof, evidence, documentation, cites, or whatever to back up their sniveling with cold hard facts. When they can't, it's time (hell, it's been time) to tell everyone that these people just need to stfu cuz all they're doing is creating confusion in what should, otherwise, be a straight forward agenda. Government should not be complicated with "feelings".

I'm pretty tired of hearing "its for the children". That crap started with Anita Bryant (and the Briggs Initiative in CA) back in the 1970's, and it hasn't stopped.

The children are pawns in the political tug-of-war.

"For the children", and "for the less fortunate" are but two of the many arguments used to make opponents feel guilt and, for the most part, they work. Most people don't want to appear hard hearted so they give in to many of the liberal/progressive arguments. Obviously there are not enough leaders with the attitude of a Donald Trump who will tell it like it is and be completely blunt with their wording. Maybe it's turning around now but I suspect it's just a lull in the slow leftward drift of society.
