 What is the difference between a 525 pitch and 520? Is there any gain to either one? I want to change the gearing on my 06 gsxr600. Any one familiar with Loudon if you have a recomedations as to what i should use it is really apprecated. THANKS :stupid:

    Wear, yes. A 520 chain on a ZX-10R will last about a season. Two-and-a-half seasons on a ZX-6R.

Strength isn't really an issue, either.

As for the other part of your question, that'll depend on the ratios you pick.

I have found that it is much easier to get your hands on a 520 chain quickly than a 525.

To answer your question, the pitch is the same.

    The width is different.
