What was he trying to communicate?

During a practice session at Roebling, a guy passed me on the inside of the entrance to T4, then braked way harder than was necessary to make the turn. As I swung around him, he put his leg out and arm up like he was signalling that he wanted to pit in. Am I missing something?

People do signal with a foot when they want to pit out and are in mid-corner, that dude just happened to have his foot WAAAAY up high

 

Even when pit out is at turn 9, and we were in turn 4?

 

1. Scared the shit out of himself and realized he needed to pull in. Hand and leg lets you know he's had enough and is taking it in.

2. Made a goofball move and was apologizing.

3. Something didnt feel right and he's limping it back to check it out.

I've done all three.

It was me. The plastic clip that holds the fuel line to the throttle bodies broke and the fuel line popped off. The bike was dead and the belly pan was full of C12. I was trying to communicate "my bike shit the bed so I'm letting you know something is wrong, please don't ass pack me"..
