Heading out for the first time this season tomorrow and I was throwing on my good set of tires and found this. It only has 3 races on it. It really doesn't look like it "chunked" because its smooth, it looks like it came like that. I didn't notice it last year, but I could have easily missed it. It's not too deep, hopefully you can tell from the pics. Should I ride it? Is it anything to worry about?
will it be in the back of your mind the whole time its on the bike and your going? or will you be able to forget it? i would run it and not think about it, but once something gets in my mind, i lose confidence and then its over until i change it.
It's been sitting on top of other tires. I put that tire, and the front in a bag for the winter, it may have rested on a dust cap because one fell off in the bag. I really don't think it's anything to worry about.
It kinda sucks because my other tired is completely bald and there's no Michelin man there tomorrow. Maybe I'll try to find a takeoff I can throw on there.
looks like the indents i get from the sides of my cheap-ass trailer chocks. goes away as soon as you ride it...
I've been looking at it and I think it's an indent. I can see the little pieces of rubber that the tires pick up is pushed in to it as well. I'm runnin it.
