WERA Schedule and Race school/provisional licences

3/21-23 Virginia International Raceway, Alton, VA-rs is on the WERA schedule for this year. Will there be a way to gain a provisional novice licence that weekend?

If not, which of the NE WERA events would have the race school?

 

yes you can get your license on Saturday and race on Sunday

 

There has been a thread about it kind of. That Friday will be practice, school will be Saturday, but Mongo said they were trying to allow people to practice before the school as long as they buy a license and have track experience. I will try and find the thread, post link back.

According to VIR's calender WERA is running Friday and CornerSpeed is running Mon/Tues. Tdub

Does the school last all day, or are there classes in the morning and just the mock race after everyone else is done? I'm just trying to figure out the time schedule for Saturday. There are no details about the school on the main site.

 

Class in morn, mock race last thing of day. Track time with instructor in between

 

I don't understand "buy a license". I thought you bought a membership in WERA, then did the race school, whcih upon completion you get your license as a provisional novice. Is there a charge for the license?
