Dish washing detergent. Dry and wax with your preference. I personally don't think Joy etc. can damage modern clear coats. 5 years, 17,000 miles and an arse load of washings never hurt my old 2000 SV. I degreased the chain and sprockets with Orange Glo. The orange cleaners will cut some grease. Purple Power will too but it "stains" alum. and steel if not completely and immediately rinsed. Edit: My SV had the original chain and sprockets when I sold it.
well first i like to have some privacy. after removing my shoes and socks from a long hard day at work, i remove my pants and boxers. i usually wash my beast in the shower with soap water and a wash cloth but sometimes a quick wipe down with hot water will suffice after the beast has explored a nearby beaver cave. my beast likes being washed and always hangs around with me.
I only wet wash my bike If I get caught out in the rain, then its Honda Bright. All the rest of the time its Honda Polish. The stuff works great on everything from rubber marks and bug guts to brake dust and fingerprints. H.P. is safe for your windshield and faceshield also.
Yep, Simple Green and Honda cleaner. Oh, don't buy simple green automotive. It is not the concentrated stuff. I'd much rather dilute it myself, than pay for their water.
TJ, you should check out the lean angle thread, and look at post #31. That's something you should aspire towards with your SV. http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=106147
dude that is friggin insane... on a side note, im back to riding! got to ride to class yesterday, man have i missed this thing... BJ, get to work clown!
Work? NEVER! well, not on Fridays. Dad and I are heading to Putnam this afternoon. I can't wait. That's cool that you got on your bike again. The only riding I did yesterday was from the garage to the trailer, in the rain.
I can't believe this hasn't been jacked yet so let me do the honors:up: I wash my Beast every day while i'm showering.
