Who stocks race compound tires (Avons) to fit the 18" and 19" rims on my old BMW.

thanks Buff, I tried Vintage SP but Lyn cannot get them shipped until (hopefully) next week. Was wanting to find some in 'stock' so I could ride the old Beemer at Tally this weekend with decent tires.
Do you remember meeting me/Mona/Matt one evening last summer at Crackerbarrel Greenville SC?

Call Bob Barker and get yourself some Dunlops. Don't know if he stocks the 19" stuff anymore, but the KR124A is an awesome rear. It's what they typically use on all the fast Premier class bikes...

Mike, Brad here, Blue BMW at robling. You can run a 120 rear without any problems. We run 130 rears but you have to take the final drive loose to get it on. See ya at tally. brad

I have a 90/90-19 in the trailer and it will be at Tally anyway. You should be able to get a good price on it even.

That's what it said. I think if it was an 18 it would have sold faster.

    Why do you ask?

Do you know someone that races?:Poke: :D

Brad, thanks for the tip on 120's, thats what I'll shoot for.

Stickboy, I'll look for you and the 19" at Tally.

Thanks to everyone for the info.

No problem. We'll be there. Look for a tall read canopy and a Bridgestone banner.

    Mike,

I just bought a used hub for my BMW so I can lace up an 18" rim to it to avoid the 19" problem. I had to arm-wrestle Fred @ Touring Sport to get the one I have now...they can be scarce.

So Roebling worked out well for you? You were riding awefully smoove!

Stickboy: Can you get racing compound Bridgestones for old BMW's?

    MotoB,
Thats a good idea, I've been on the lookout for some extra wheels on the Beemer sites.
If you need someone to lace and true that wheel, send it over to Stanley, I can take care of it for minimal $$.
