Triumph Daytona shop recommendations in SoCal?

Got an issue with cam chain timing. Might do an engine refresh while I am at it. Anyone have any recommendations for Daytona specialists in/around LA for a track bike? Don’t mind going a little further if I have to just want to make sure they know Daytona’s since everyone I know is an R6 specialist :(
    Thanks.

I’d check with Attack and see if they know of someone. Otherwise, FedEx it to Hordpower.

Did you not have an APE manual tensioner installed? If not, that’s the first thing to do on those engines, as a preventative measure.

I did install the ape tensioner and that’s where the problems started :(. It kept leaking oil every time it heated up and I couldn’t figure it why until yesterday. Tried different gaskets and sealant. Then realized the ape tensioner is thinner then the oem one so the bolt needs to be cut 2mm to really seal it.

I’ll check with Attack. Really don’t want to ship it out :(. Hoping there is someone more local.

Edit - yes I saw location, but Rob very likely would have useful input.

    That’s a shame.

I’ve been out of the 675 world, for quite awhile. Shorter bolts was common knowledge, when people were really active with these bikes and on the forums. I hope you get whatever issues you’re having sorted out.

Attack did an engine refresh for me. Would recommend them. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for

Also might have the wrong tensioner. I had a 09-12 with an APE and it had zero issues.

I think APE only has two tensioners for the 675 - one is the pre2012 and one is post with the bump on the one side. From what I read the 2013s has a slightly narrower tensioner face plate than 2012 so that might be the problem?

Either way, spoke to Jozef at Attack. Unfortunately they don’t do regular bike work anymore. However he was really helpful and also recommended a couple of shops. Dropped it off at MetrikMoto in Culver City yesterday. Sean and Sasan have worked on my r6 before and are awesome. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for all the recommendations - really appreciate it.
