Neoprene tire insulators, claim to retain 30% tire heat for reducing heat cycles, etc. Thats indian for poorman's tire warmer or "i'm not fast enough to require tire warmers".

I just ordered some of these.

Does anyone know if I just threw $50 away?

Hello mr. deez... I"ve only seen one person use those things ever but I didn't get a chance to ask him about them. Once the full summer heat hangs around maybe you could lay them across the hood of your truck and get them up to about 160 degrees before putting them back on your tires and then maybe they can even act as warmers too!

I have them & use them over my tire warmers when it is cold out - they keep the heat focused inward as opposed to heating up the surrounding air.

Great idea about using them between sessions.... I just throw on the tire warmers back on.
