What is it? Some code and a server? Do a china on them, copy it and set it up in the USA for free.

 

Yeah I don't get why it hasn't been copied without all the backend data mining stuff.

I downloaded it for a couple weeks a while back and found it to be good mindless entertainment. I never made an account, so I didn't like/comment/post. I think the default feed of content is called "for you". In that feed, 75% of the content I saw was 30-40 year olds doing silly stuff in short videos. It was simple and silly and mostly devoid of political vitriol. It was refreshing compared to the vast amount of negativity in social media nowadays.

I deleted it based on some posts I read in other places of just how invasive their data mining tactics were, especially in comparison to other apps.
