That leaves me out.......Since I now have my company in order, great insurance......an the urge to let DucJR run me off the track......I just might line up with ya....maybe. Ab
ill be there with teammate jonesie. my first time any suggestions for lodging. I can tent it, what temps does it get to at night I am from buffalo? if too cold suggestions for lodging any news on how late it will be open thursday to drop off trailers or to arrive to camp?
lodging at the track lodge is your best bet - it's cheap .. not sure if it's booked: likely so.. We tented it last year for this event.. it was chilly : 25-30 degrees. Not bad though if you have a space heater or two and electric to run them.. not bad at all..
I camp outside in the winter in buffalo where it gets to 0 or below at night so this should not be a problem. just spent the weekend outside 3 weeks ago in a snow cave so 25-30 is cool with me as that is how cold it was then. what are daytime temps liek this time of year? where do you find info for lodging at site?
Looks like daytime temps should be about 60. http://www.weather.com/weather/monthly/USVA0009?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared Call VIR and ask them if there are any rooms available. I just booked one last week so maybe they haven't sold out since then. http://www.virclub.com/general-inquiries/virginia-international-raceway.html
I`m out as far as racing goes. Cancelled my room reservation this morn. Can`t justify an 1100 dollar weekend right now. May come and spectate, don`t know for sure.
It's a consideration for sure! I'm still healing, so thinking it might be a good time to learn a new track. Just get out there and have some fun.
Hot Damn! Cornerspin this weekend and 7 races at VIR the next. I'm stoked! I'm #133 novice in the middleweights (but I'll race about anything I'm legal for). Say hi if you see me. I'd like to put some faces with the folks here. Oh yeah, staying at the lodge.
