    TEAMLIKETYSPLIT In Limbo

My dad passed from cancer on March 29. He was a racer and has been riding since 1960. He started racing with wera in 1984 and raced for a couple of years until a nasty highside at TGPR in 88 i think. He bought me a Mr50 about 2 weeks after he took the training wheels off of my bicycle, and took me riding in the dirt or street every time i could con him into it. He thought alot of Evelyne and the whole wera crew. I grew up at racetracks and motorcycles because of him and i would not change any of it. He was a very straight forward guy, what you see is what you get with no gray areas.

I know none of you know him, but i had to share because this is truly the coolest thing i have ever done.

My mother was killed in a car accident in 01 and he and i talked alot about death after that. He let me know that he wanted to be creamated. After a beer or twelve on night he told me that after he died he wanted me to spread him at a racetrack. I chewed on that for a minute and said "how the hell do you want me to pull that off?" He responded in classic form "shit, get it up to 100 and yank the fuckin lid!!"

So, here we are...thanks to some very close friends we made it happen for you pops. Huge thank you to the Upchurch family at TGPR, Jim Barnett (ex wera #216) for letting me use the ole hurricane and being who you are, Chuck Huneycutt and Lee Whoele thank yall for everything. It was a good day
