So let's test this theory. I got my boss a Christmas gift on the way, and I would like to get a little bit more info on what it is exactly. He is a big fan of Buffalo Airways so I got him a gauge from Buffalo Joe's personal stash. I would like to be able to tell him what it actually was for, not necessarily the plane, but at least the function. The type of plane would be cool if anyone knows. Here is a photo of it. Can the Beeb pull through on this one?
Looks like an oil temperature gauge of some sort although there is no red zone. Maybe hydraulic fluid?
Quit jerking off or you’ll go blind! Too late! Get glasses and quit jerking off or you’ll go blinder!
I thought so to but it drops to -50C. At first I thought it might have been a Flap Angle instrument but the celcius throws that out.
Looks really similar to this one: https://baspartsales.com/200-1-a9a-ta-edison-temp-ind-core-24-volt/ But from the temp range I'm guessing it would be for carb inlet temp or oil temp rather than outside air temp.
