Can someone tell me what this piece on top of the fuel pump does? It is loose and fits over the pump outlet. It does not appear to fit into the rubber grommet in the filter body. Thanks
Probably just spacer for rubber above it so pump does not move. Pump locked between rubbers on the top and bottom.
That is what it seems to be - but why the complex shape when a simple plastic cylinder would suffice? Looks like something clips to it but nothing is showing in the parts fische. Thanks
That fuel pump gets used in a whole bunch of different bikes so it may get used in a different bike / tank.
Yea, it may clip in to housing or rubber on another application but on sv it does not have any visible function other than been spacer.
