Is the 99-02 SV shock the same as the 2002 GSXR or similar years This is why I ask? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ohli...020QQitemZ300121535391QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
The shock is a Ohlins for a GSXR750, 2002 - The shock looks like a S46PR1C1L (info) - S - Monotube - 46 - Piston diameter in mm - P - Piggy Back - R1 - Adjustable rebound - C1 - Adjustable Compression - L - Adjustable length The recommended shock for a GSXR750 2002 is - S46PR1C2LS - S - Monotube - 46 - Piston diameter in mm - P - Piggy Back - R1 - Adjustable rebound - C2 - Adjustable Compression, 2-way - L - Adjustable length - S - Hydraulic spring preload adjuster. - Stroke: 74mm - Shock absorber length 325 (+6/-0) mm The recommended shock for a SV650 (2003+) is - S46PR1C1L - S - Monotube - 46 - Piston diameter in mm - P - Piggy Back - R1 - Adjustable rebound - C1 - Adjustable Compression. - L - Adjustable length - Stroke: 70mm - Shock absorber length 330 mm The stroke will be a bit long by 4mm, no big deal. You will need to make sure the eye to eye is set at 330mm, again no big deal. If you are running D209GP's you will be shortening it anyway. My only worry would be clearance to the subframe, battery ,etc. I would have the shock opened up, have new oil put in and a new charge of gas installed BTW, http://www.ohlins.com is your friend.
Missed the 99-02 thing in the process of answering... Plus since I have an 2003, I think everyone in the world has one BTW, how is the Ohlins for the 99-02 SV all wrong?
you short and she undersprung? friend of mine likes fat chicks,he said rebound is perfect and he only needs to work half a hard.
where ohlins ends is where most of us start with ride hight. I am 1/4 longer on shock than what you got.
