His contract was with Suzuki North America. Hammer just was fielding a bike for him / Suzuki. It seemed like they cut him in the cost cutting spree they took as they technically had three salaried riders (Toni, Josh, and Jake). Now it's Toni and not sure how Bobby's contract is structured. He's probably cheaper than Herrin. Pretty sure Suzuki almost left Jake out to dry last year, but renewed his contract in February. JD signed with Estenson before the whole Gerloff thing went down. American Flat Track strong armed Estenson and changed the rules that to ride in the premier class, you have to prioritize their series. Their panties were in a wad after promoting JD and him skipping a bunch of races. I get the sense JD is a company man (Yamaha) and I'm sure they're taking care of him and he's helping Yamaha out with their flat track program. I wonder who is prepping Ashton's bike?
