Summit Point TRACK EXPANSION!

Looks like Summit Point Motorsports Park is spending some $$, adding to the Jefferson Circuit.

Even though we do not race on Jefferson Circuit, it is still a good thing that the track management is adding to the facility and investing money.

Every body stand and cheer: "Yay for racetracks!"

 

How about better fencing around Main to keep the deer out?

 

Good for them! Glad to see their doing well.

 

They're doing quite well with their track over there.

Jefferson Circuit was the first track day I ever did.

How long for the deer to properly learn the new track?

 

They added it to the only fun section of that track.

 

They now have a video posted on FB. They drove a Mustang on it and it looks super fun. Looks bigger than Main now...like over 2 miles.

What are the chances of wera running Jefferson? and maybe in 2014?

 

Now that we are down to just one Summit round, I would say it doesn't look good.

 

Maybe they can put down some sealer on a Saturday night during a race weekend
Oh yea and not tell anyone.

Doesn't look like they replaced the old surface on the rest Jefferson

Then again, I think the intention is to make it more of a training track. Maybe that'll pull some government days off of Summit Main.

 

I didnt think Jefferson was too bad the times Ive been on it

 

That's the day I got into the 15's! It was a sketchy feeling when eyballing the "glassy" turn 3 on the morning inspection!
