Blasted out an April Wine playlist on the commute yesterday. Damn, those guys can belt out a good tune! Very underrated band, I think.

 

Went home after work last night, to pick up the boy (16yo) to attend an event.
I walk in, he says "Had the urge to listen to some classic stuff." Shows me the Spotify screen on his phone:
"Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime". A true classic of the genre.
So, we blasted that on the 25min drive into town. Soooo Good!

Damn, I love that kid. Offers me a glimmer of Hope for his generation.

 

Kiesel????... guitars? anyone know from where? and or Sophie Lloyd? she can play!!! and guitar sounds brilliant, anyone else seen or heard this? amps not ever heard of as well...just now seeing this

If you've never heard of a Carvin amplifier or guitar....you've never listened to Allan Holdsworth.
Allan died in Escondido, CA. 2017 I believe.
Jeff Kiesel was sponsoring him to play their guitars.
Holdsworth and Jeff's father must have been good friends....or maybe took pity (not correct or sounds good) on Allan and gave him a place to shine, continue to play. Eddie Van Halen's greatest influence.

I have. Hard time listening to Holdsworths music, it's so far out there for me.
I can appreciate his brilliance but my ears tune out.

 

I liked U.K and some of his other work. Probably have some on vinyl.

Corn planting done a couple weeks ago, last couple of days, with the heat degrees and some rain it grew 4 inches a day it seemed. soybeans will be done soon-ish.

Reviving the original intent of this thread:
I actually heard some Aldo Nova earlier tonight. Now, life is just a fantasy because that flashback couldn't have been real or at least I hope not.

 

My kid bought front row tickets to see this. Originally got shit seats but they ended up offering her front row for right around the same price.
