I'm considering tackling refreshing my Ohlins steering dampers and have not been able to find a ton of info. From the little I have found it does not seem like it would be to difficult, but I'm leary with just having your basic common tools. Any advice would be appreciated!
I have been told they are extremely hard to bleed properly without the vacuum bleeder tool. So I just pay the money and have a pro do it.
I've never bothered to service them unless they're leaking or needing upgrade, but here's a write-up of you wish to tackle it: https://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?292962-Ohlins-steering-damper-rebuild
Is it leaking? Is there a dead spot due to air incursion? It is challenging to bleed without the pump. If it’s working fine, I’d leave it alone.
