He will want to prove that he is not intimidated, and can run with the big dogs.

I don't think he will be on the podium in either race, top 5 though probably.

 

Top five would be a huge win for a premiere outing in WSBK. You dont win the season in the first race... You can loose it though!

Top 4 for sure in the first and top 2 in the second.

 

Top 5 but a podium would kick azz.

 

Phillip Island reminds me of VIR. Read my sig fools. Those 3rd world boys are in for a big surprise come flag time.

The field is so deep I think if he qualifies in the first two rows he will do well but if he doesn't than it's going to be a long race.

 

fwiw...I've never been a huge Spies guy...fan yes, favorite nah. so anyway...he was competitive in MotoGP on a less than competitive bike. this Yammie seems to be the business, so I would realistically expect him to be at the front. yes the field is deep, but the kid has 'it'...

He is around some talented people and to finish top 3 first weekend out is pretty impossible,
