Spiderman is a well known racer, probably one of the top 10 in motorcycles. It seems odd you would crowd fund something for a Professional like that. That seems like crowd funding any of these top racers Pedrosa, Marquez, Lorenzo, Rossi, Hayes, Beaubier, Hayden, Vettel, Schumacher, Raikkonen, Alonso, Busch, Stewart, Earnhart.....etc.
Looks like traction on that track is as limited as it was when I used to race there 20 years ago. I once saw funny cars trying to run there. It wasn't pretty.
That bike running at full song is very impressive in person....sounds amazing! Crowdfund seems strange.... Atco, yea, its Jersey, everything is alittle slick in Jersey
Puma, custom engine, designed by Peter Davies...now owned by Ian King. http://www.pumaengineering.moonfruit.com/ Loosely based on either a Kawasaki or Suzuki..bore spacing is about it..stock cams will fit the journals in the head on some of them...
I don't think there's enough money in motorcycle drag racing, even at the "Top Fuel" level, to put him in the same earning bracket as those listed above.
Agreed. Look at the crowd or lack of crowd in the video. Most racers wouldn't ask for help if they didn't need it IMHO.
Good God and little chickens!! I want one. That would be one trick mofo to cruise around the block in my neighborhood.
While not in that level, even amateur drag racers make money if they are worth a darn. I've drag raced 4-5 times in the past 30 years and just last weekend won $445 by winning a motorcycle drag race. My dad has been doing it for 40 years and almost always makes more money than he spends on entry fees, parts, gas, tires, etc. when he adds everything up at the end of the year.
I am pretty sure Larry and Vantine were Match Racing. (booked in show) so yeah they get paid, also they have sponsors who pay a few bucks every year..but no they ain't getting rich racing them.
I had the pleasure to meet TF bike God Elmer Trett (RIP) and asked him what it as like to do a 200+MPH wheelie, in his deep Southern drawl: "Just like ridin' a good rolly coaster"
