Nope. I play with stocks for fun. I don't count it towards retirement or no shit like that. If could all drop 100% and id just be like "well fuck", and move on. I think of it like playing at the casino.
I say let it drop 10000 points... I'll take my liquid capital and throw it right the fuck in and ride the train back up....same as I did last time.
Have any of them been non-Asians? The first "American citizen killed by the coronavirus" turned out to be an Asian person who was staying in Wuhan. The media is being very careful in their wording if you noticed. There are obviously Asian people living in every one of those continents, and a lot of the sick are Chinese nationals who left China.
I’ve been at Mayo Clinic-JAX, FL, ~4wks, and there’s a definite concern around here. The staff are travel-restricted, ATM.
Not surprised, those who do know viruses don't have any real info yet so paranoia is a smart move until they know more. Until/unless they can ever get real numbers from China its better for them to be over cautious and wrong than under cautious and wrong.
Which when you think about it is about as much as they can realistically do. How many millions of people travel by air globally everyday? In order to thoroughly test every one of them would grind the system to a halt. That's why as I said before, the best thing you can do for yourself with respect to this stuff is to do what you can to make sure your immune system is working tip top because like your example up there Chris, how much of all of this is completely out of our hands......short of locking yourself up in the house and and eat rations for maybe 6-7 months
You can always self quarantine https://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/10735581-181/california-tells-7000-people-to
Yes, I understand this. But in the grand scheme of things in today's market a 3% contraction doesn't amount to much of any thing. The real question is will it continue to contract and to What degree and for how long. Currently it's much to do about nothing. IMO. as always things can change. ☺
That's a bit of a different use case. That's 7000 Americans who returned specifically from Wuhan that are being "asked" to self-quarantine. What I meant is how do airports all over the world properly screen millions of people a day without introducing such enormous time/delay overhead to the airline travel process?....they can't.
