Kenny Anderson March 12th, 2013 after a crash on March 3rd, 2013 at Buttonwillow. Kenny had set a new class track record earlier in the day.

Tears me up, especially the kids. I have to wonder how this list would look had it not been for poor track conditions, lack of run off etc. I don't have much money but going to find a few bucks to contribute to Johns air fence fund.... And have another look under the body work before Vegas.
The vast majority of racers who have died while racing hit nothing other than the ground. The air fence and other safety measures have drastically reduced injuries so they're hugely important.
Same here, have had the good fortune of getting to know Eric and become friends and race Kenny's 125 on the same tracks.
I still think about Peter Lenz and Claude Jinks all the time. John and I were at the rider's meeting after Claude's crash and voted to go home and end the weekend, along with a lot of other WMRRA racers. It was a significant moment in John's development as a racer, and as a young man.
